Saltus Grammar School U13s lost in the finals of the Canadian Association of Independent Schools (CAIS) Tournament in Ontario Canada to St. George’s School.
The score remained deadlocked 0-0 at half time, but St. George’s would score two unanswered goals in the second half to claim the tournament honors.
Saltus coach Richard Todd said, “Saltus can be proud of their accomplishment in their first year competing in the tournament.”
Earlier Saltus Under 13’s advance to Final after they defeated Upper Canada College on kicks from the Penalty Mark in the Semi-Final.
Saltus rallies from 2 goals down to level the game at 2 - 2 and played through a scoreless extra time.
The kicks went through 8 kickers before Saltus won 4-3.
