Reggie Lambe
Reggie Lambe and his Cambridge United teammates fell to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of League One Southend United in their opening Checkatrade Trophy fixture at Roots Hall.
Despite several positive spells and a spirited performance throughout the evening from Cambridge United, two second half goals from Shawn McCoulsky and a late strike by Isaac Hutchinson put the game beyond Cambridge United who had initially taken the lead early in the second half through Lambe.
With the Bermuda Men’s National team already in Miami preparing for the match on Sunday against Aruba, Lambe would come into the match with a goal to his name.
Lambe’s goal came in the 52nd minute when he got his head on the end of Jevani Brown’s pin point cross from the left hand side to earn the lead for Cambridge United.

Djair Parfitt-Williams remains on the injured list as his NJ Rudar Velenje teammtes went down 5 – 0 to Olimpija NK.
Andrés Vombergar got the ball rolling with a goal in the 16th minute, Jucie Lupeta would double the lead with a strike in the 35th minute.
In the 53rd minute it would be 3 – 0 when Vitālijs Maksimenko scored, Matic Črnic would give Olimpija NK a 4 – 0 lead in the 85th minute and then he would score again in the 90th minute for the 5 – 0 win.
