FIFA President Gianni Infantino accompanied by other FIFA Officials as well as the Bermuda Football Association President Mark Wade and First Vice President Shannon Burgess paid a visit to the Cabinet Office early this morning.
The Bermuda Football Association yesterday sent the media an invite to a Press Conference and in that release they indicated that Infantino’s was the first FIFA President to visit Bermuda in more than 30 years.
Infantino is only expected to be in Bermuda for a few hours before continuing his journey to the Caribbean for a Summit Meeting.
Infantino was recently in Amsterdam for the Fifth FIFA Executive Football Summit, twenty-one associations from three confederations discussed shaping world football, with the discussions focusing on the FIFA Forward programme as well as youth and women’s competitions.
