Following the Canadian and US Junior Open squash tournaments, Taylor Carrick went on to represent Bermuda at the British Junior Open Squash Championships.
In the British he finished 73/74 out of a draw of 95, winning 2 matches and losing 2 matches.
Carrick would fall in his first Under 17 game in straight games 11-9, 11-4, 11-8 against Andres Villamizar from Columbia.
Carrick would next defeat Ryan Lewis from Wales in five games 3-2, Carrick would find himself down 2-0 after Lewis won game one 12-10, Lewis would win game two 11-5, but Carrick would fight back to win the third game 11-4, he would level the match at 2-2 when he won the fourth game 11-5, Carrick would then win the fifth game and advance 11-9.
Carrick would next fall in five games to James Gibbins from England, Carrick would take a 2-0 lead winning the first game 11-6, he would win the next game 11-8, however Carrick would fall 11-7, 11-7, 11-9 in the next three games to go down.
In his fourth game Carrick would defeat Sam Lawrence from England in straight games 11-9, 11-5, 11-8.
