Bascome No Longer UNDEFEATED

In the anticipated fight between Bermuda’s Nikki Bascome and Portugal’s Fabio Costa ended with a Knock Out of Bascome.

In the fourth Round Bascome was undone by a right-left-right combination that saw him fall face first into the ropes, he was not able to stabilize himself with referee Steve Smoger stopping the fight.

The First Round saw both fighters exchanging blows, with some thinking this was not going to be easy for Bascome, during the Second Round Bascome found himself in trouble with DaCosta the aggressor, but Round Three saw a more controlled Bascome and he looked as if he had measured DaCosta, but then the Fourth Round everything changed leave a large crowd stunned.

In the other fights of the night Andre Lamb won his fight with the referee forced to stop the fight against Jorge Guedes who was cut above his right eye from an accidental head butt.

King Somner won his fight by split decision over Joao Azevedo, while Tyler Christopher went down by split decision to Jose Sousa, Jalon Roberts won his fight over Nuno Santos by Unanimous Decision.

Krista Dyer defeated Ragab Beedy in their Women’s SanShou bout, with Q Robinson defeating Sheldon Thompson in a Men’s SanShou fight.

Zaire Williams and Quadre Emery both attend the CedarBridge Academy had an Exhibition bout, as did Otero Smith from Paget Primary and Josef Ferreira from Purvis Primary.
