Bermuda & Barbados Teams Announced

IslandStats.com
www.islandstats.com can report the 18-man squad Barbados have brought to Bermuda, as well as the Bermuda’s team for the International Friendly match against at the National Sports Center.

The Barbados Tridents are on a high after the recent FIFA World Rankings were released, where they have jumped ten places to 160th after a fair year of performances, which saw them record victories against Martinique and Grenada.

Barbados will be hoping to record a positive result, after failing in their last four attempts against their Bermudan counterparts.

The last time Barbados would have recorded a victory against Bermuda was in 2004, where the Tridents won 4-1, courtesy of goals from Gregory “Lalu” Goodridge (2), Lewellyn Riley and John Parris. Since then, it has been a steady decline against our lesser ranked (#181) opponents.

Head of the Technical team Ahmed Mohamed has included four players who did not make the trip to Grenada earlier this summer when the Tridents competed in the Windward Islands Football Tournament.

Leading the group is debutant, Barbados Defense Force Sports Programme (BDFSP) wingback Rashad Smith, along with teammates Kishmar Primus and Darico King.

St Leonard’s Boys’ School captain and wonder kid, 16-year-old Dishon Howell has also been included in the squad, hoping to make his second senior team appearance.

The match kicks off at 8 p.m. at the National Sports Center.
