NAHKI WELLS
A sensational goal from Ross Wallace and a close-range finish from Fernando Forestieri gave Sheffield Wednesday a crucial 2-0 victory over Nahki Wells and his promotion chasing Huddersfield teammates.
With both sides jostling for position amongst the Championship's leading bunch, this could prove to be a significant result.
Wells and Huddersfield are in 5th with 46 points, while Sheffield Wednesday are 6th with 45 points.
RAI SIMONS
Rai Simons was an unused substitute as his Chesterfield teammates came out on top in their Sky Bet League One relegation battle with Coventry after a Dan Gardner goal gave them a 1-0 win at the Proact Stadium.
Gardner settled a poor contest in the 77th minute but Chesterfield had to survive 11 minutes of added time following an injury to their centre-back Tom Anderson.
REGGIE LAMBE
A second-half goal from Charlie Wyke, his 17th of the season, spared Reggie Lambe and his Carlisle United teammates a third consecutive defeat as they were held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Morecambe.
Aaron Wildig gave Morecambe an early lead and the visitors held out until Wyke's 74th-minute effort which followed the sending off of defender Dean Winnard.
