Woods Rules Himself Out of Grand Slam

IslandStats.com
Tiger Woods has all but ruled himself out of coming to play in the 30th PGA Grand Slam of Golf in Bermuda, even if he wins the PGA Championship this coming weekend.

Woods has confirmed that he will head to Asia this fall to play for the first time in the CIMB Classic, a limited-field tournament in Malaysia.

The 48-player event that will become official on the PGA Tour in 2013 is in its third year and will be played at the Mines Resort & Golf Club in Kuala Lumpur, October 25th-28th, 2012.

The 30th PGA Grand Slam of Golf is set to get underway on Monday, October 22nd and will run until Wednesday, October 24th, 2012.

"I haven't been back to Malaysia since '99, so that's one reason I want to go back," said Woods, who won the World Cup individual title that year in Kuala Lumpur and also the team title for the U.S. along with Mark O'Meara. "It's nice to go back to a place where I've already played and won."
