Bermuda 2012 Olympic Team Announced

The Bermuda Olympic Association (BOA) today officially announced the names of the athletes that will represent Bermuda at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Jesse Kirkland in Sailing
Alexander Kirkland in Sailing
Flora Duffy in Triathlon
Tyler Butterfield in Triathlon
Araxtana King in Athletics
Tyrone Smith in Athletics
Jillian Terceira in Equestrian
Aaron Evans in Athletics, pending results of track meet this weekend
Harold “Tre” Houston in Athletics, pending results of track meet this weekend

The athletes will be accompanied by Chef de Mission, Stanley Douglas. BOA President, Judy Simons, and BOA Secretary General, Philip Guishard will also attend the Games, joining executive delegates from 204 other National Olympic Committees.

Simons said, “The BOA congratulates Bermuda’s team on their significant achievements in qualifying for the 2012 Games. They have already done us proud and we wish them the very best in competition. We are pleased to have helped play a part in their journeys to success.”
