During the Beating of the Retreat involving the Bermuda Regiment Band and the Pipe Band, a Ceremony was held for the Olympic Flag Raising on Front Street.
Premier of Bermuda Paula Cox, City of Hamilton Mayor Graeme Outerbridge and Bermuda Olympic Association President Judy Simons all took part in the event.
The Olympic Flag was presented to the dignitaries by former Olympians and representatives of National Sports Governing Bodies that have athletes competing in the London 2012 Olympic Games.
The official Olympic Day is June 23rd and the Bermuda Olympic Association have a host of events planned.
The Bermuda Olympic Quiz got the proceedings underway on Tuesday Night at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess, the second event was this Flag Raising Ceremony, which will see the second Quiz Semi-Final set to take place on Thursday June 21st at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
On Friday June 22nd will be Corporate Denim Day donation to support the Bermuda Athletes and their Olympic Dreams.
On Saturday June 23rd Olympic Day will see the Final of the Olympic Quiz Contest at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess.
