Kirklands Move Up Again in Spain
It was another positive day for Bermuda’s Olympic hopefuls Jesse and Zander Kirkland at the Trofeo S.A.R. Princess Sofia MAPFRE, the third of seven ISAF Sailing World Cup Regattas going on in Spain.

Sailors in the 49ers were divided in three groups for the final stage, with only 25 sailors moving into the Gold Fleet that included the Kirklands.

Jonas Warrer and Soren Hansen from Denmark continue to hold their lead and are ten points clear of British pair of John Pink Rick Peacock and the French team of Manu Dyen and Stephane Christidis, winner of the Palma event in 2010 and 2011.

The Kirklands ended Day Four with 114 points, they moved up from 11th to 9th.

The Kirklands finished the first race of the day in 24th place sailing in the Gold Fleet, they finished the second race in 5th place, they then won the third race, before closing out the fourth race with a 17th place finish.
