Kaden Hopkins began competing in the World Championships in Australia.
Hopkins produced a very strong Men’s Under 23 Individual Time Trial which saw him on the ‘hot seat podium’ for over an hour with third fastest time.
Eventually Hopkins would finish the 34.2 kilometers course 13th, with a time of 35.43.69, he finished behind the pre-race favorite, Norway's Soren Waerenskjokd, who clocked a time of 34:13.40.
“I didn’t want to put any expectations on myself, my focus was to go out there and perform to the level I know I am capable of,” said Hopkins.
Hopkins concluded, "The Road Race is bound to be chaos as usual in these events, but my focus will be to avoid it by being positioned as well as I can throughout the race."
