Kaden Hopkins was one of six Equipo Essax Cyclists to withdraw from the Valencian Memorial in Spain after several crashes took place.
Heavy rain added a test and accompanied the cyclists from the first hour. Cyclists looked to set a fast pace right from the start, but the conditions made things extremely tough.
Pau Miquel representing Team Lizarte, made an attack from Alto de San Miguel 25 kilometers from the finish line along with two other teammates, Igor Arrieta and Eugenio Sánchez, signing an exceptional career finale.
Miquel crossed the line in a time of 3:53.05, Igor Arrieta was second clocking 3:54.33, and Pablo Uria was third clocking 3:55.05.
A total of 83 riders finished, with more than 80 other riders including Hopkins pulling out of the race.
