Sinclair Packwood Memorial Race

Kaden Hopkins and Alyssa Rowse are the Sinclair Packwood Memorial Race Male and Female Champions.

The race started with Arthur Pitcher making a break at the start, he was caught by Adam Hopkin and another rider, they hung in together until they were caught in Crawl.

Going down Crawl Hill, Anthony Bartley took the lead and gave himself some distance away from the peloton and was looking strong, he however was eventually caught by Hopkins with Matthew Oliveira in hot pursuit.

The pair took control of the race pulling away from the field and each took turns in pulling each other along.

The pair continued their pace into Hamilton along Front Street and up Queen Street, Hopkins made a move on Church Street that Oliveira was late reacting too and he was able to clock a winning time of 29:09.8, Oliveira was second in a time of 29:11.8, with Connor White making it a one, two, three Winners Edge when he finished third in a time of 30:01.4.

Rowse a Junior Female rider has shown she will be a force to be reckoned with as she won the Women’s race edging out Zoenique Williams at the line. Rowse was clocked at 32:51.6, Williams was second in 32:51.7 and Ashley Estwanik finished third in a time of 32:54.0.
