A Bermuda Bicycle Association Team Time Trial will Open the 2017 Road Race Season.
The Team Time Trial is set for March 19th. Starting on Middle Road in Paget by St. Paul's Church and heading west to Barnes Corner and then South Road to Bermuda College, teams of four will see who has the power and skill to finish fastest.
Taking the title overall in 2016 was the Madison Digicel quartet of Dominique Mayho, Phillip Mace, Mark Robinson and Kwame Curling in a time of 24:28, making the loop at an average speed of 26.5 mph.
In the Women’s category with a time of 29:57.68 Ashley Eswanik, Allison Petty and Kristin Palmer nudged the Bicycle Works Women of Wenda Roberts, Earlena Ingham, Zoey Roberts and Alyssa Rowse into second clocking 30:37.23, followed by the Winners Edge team of Tammy Ingham, Julia Hawley, Eileen Mullowney and Joanne Medeiros.
