The Bermuda Bicycle Association’s sanctioned Third Cycle-Cross Race took place at Shelly Bay Field, with 24 riders tackling the obstacle course.
The racing was very intense from the start, as Dominique Mayho immediately powered away from the field in the Men’s 15 and Over Division, lapping all but two of the competitors in the 45 minute race.
Kaden Hopkins and Chequan Richardson rounded out the podium in the field of 15 Men.
In an Women’s 15 and Over anticipated battle, Warwick Academy student Alyssa Rowse got the better of Marian University cyclist Gabriella Arnold in the 30 minute race, unfortunately Arnold was struck by an errant football from match being played on the adjacent field which unsettled her but caused no injury, Eileen Mullowney finished third.
