The 2015/2016 Flying Colours Mountain Bike Race Series got underway at Southlands, with 118 competitors competing in 12 different Divisions.
The Male A Division was dominated by youngsters as Matthew Oliveira completed 10 laps in a time of 51:51.117, Dylan Hill was second in 52:54.654 and Robin Horsfield finished third with a time of 53:00.740.
The race featured Pan American Bronze Medalist Flora Duffy who was competing in the Female A Division, she was the only competitor clocking a winning time of 52:40.002.
The Male Veteran Over 40 Division was won by Hans Hirschi who clocked a 7 lap time of 43:29.771, Dexter Swan was second in 45:10.205 and Peter Dunne was third only completing 6 laps clocking 41:07.215. Karen Bordage won the Female Veteran Over 40 Division recording a time of 42:02.673.
