Members of the Bermuda Cycling Academy (BCA) began racing in the Netherlands.
It was a stormy day with rain, wind and cold temperatures along a 1.5km course in Assen, Netherlands as seven BCA riders took part in categories 4, 5, 6, 7 and Nieuwlin.
The weather changed every few minutes from overcast to stormy rains allowing some riders the advantage of good weather.
In Category 4, Enshe Nico Davis finished 56th clocking 3:03, while Nazarai Fox finished 59th competing in Category 5 clocking a time of 3:02. Finishing 65th in Category 6 was Micah Cook with a time of 2:43. Malik Joell finished 67th and Ben Edwards finished 69th competing in Category 7, Joell clocked 2:41 and Edwards crossed the line in 2:46.
With Dylan Hill finishing 91st clocking 2:18 and Zion Dill finished 123rd with a time of 2:41 in the Nieuwlin Category.
Tomorrow is Stage 2 a Criterium over a 1.8km course. Hill is only 16 seconds off the current Grand Champion leader and is hopeful going into tomorrow's event. Hill was interviewed by Eurosport after a good performance today.
