Dave McComas instigated a break from the pack and he was subsequently joined by Philip Mace and Neil de ste Croix. The three held off the chase attempts of the remainder of the peloton with McComas taking the final sprint recorded the win the Open A Division crossing the line in a time of 2:10:08.0, with Mace finishing second clocking 2:10:10.6 and De Ste Croix finished third crossing the line in a time of 2:10:21.4.
Chad Townsell won the Adult B Division race crossing the line ahead of Kaden Hopkins by .01 of a second. Hopkins was easily the quickest up Knapton both times but coming early in the race meant that the field had time to reel him in. It came down to the final loop to St. David’s. Hopkins attacked late in the last lap just before Clearwater Middle School but he wasn’t able to hold off Townsell who clocked 1:58:19.5, with Hopkins clocking 1:58:19.6 and Luis Martins finished third with a time of 1:58:21.4.
The Adult C Division was won by Ricky Smith clocking a time of 1:24:15.5, Steve Smith was second recording a time of 1:24:29.0 and Garth Fleming finished third with a time of 1:24:43.5.
Gabriella Arnold won the Women’s Division race crossing the line in a time of 1:25:12.3, Karen Smith was second clocking 1:25:13.5 and Sarah Bonnett finished third with a time of 1:28:07.1.
The Junior A Division was won by Alex Bordage with a time of 1:31:23.2, Enshe-Nico Davis won the Junior B Division race clocking 23:37.3 and Blake Oliviera won the Junior C Division with a time of 15:13.2.
