The Bermuda Bicycle Association held it’s annual awards presentation to recognize numerous individuals for performance as well as contribution to the sport in the last year.
Prizes for the Road Race Series and Time Trial Series which ran from March through October 2014 were presented to the winners by Fiona Miller, chair of the BBA’s Racing Committee.
In the Top Team competition, Winners Edge regained the trophy from the 2013 winners Team Tokio.
The major awards for the year were handed to those who were seen as the best of their field or having made a significant contribution to the local racing scene. Recognized for her work administering permissions for racing Zoey Roberts received the Club Person of the Year award.
Two new awards were presented at the ceremony, Race Organizer of the Year and Race Official of the Year. The group known as Fat Tire Massive received the organizer award for their work in developing mountain biking events and Nigel Godfrey received the official’s award for his effectiveness in overseeing local races.
