Great weather made for fast and exciting racing on the streets of Hamilton for the Bermuda Bicycle Association’s Criterium organized by Team Winners Edge.
Dominique Mayho continued to dominated the top category crossing the line in a rime of 46:18.311, Mark Hatherley finished second clocking 46:18.669 and Darren Glasford was third in a time of 46:19.293.
Junior Tyler Smith, recently back from competing at the Youth Olympics, stunned the B category by breaking off the front on his own and holding off a large peloton of chasers. Smith recorded a time of 34:04.217, Smith’s teammate for the upcoming Junior Caribbean Cycling Championships Christian Oatley showed his own tactical abilities by breaking away with three laps to go and then hanging on to beat the chasers for second in a time of 34:35.667 and Dennis Joell finished third in 34:35.760.
Sean Dickinson was once again the victor in the C group with a time of 25:13.651, Peter Tadman was second in 25:15.761 and Michael Thomas finished third with a time of 25:16.218.
Karen Bordage won the Women race crossing the line in a time of 23:12.976, Wenda Roberts was second clocking 23:46.573 and Earlena Ingham was third in a time of 24:03.963.
Kaden Hopkins won the Junior A race clocking 23:12.690, Jordan Dowling finished second in 23:46.540 and Alyssa Rowse was third clocking a time of 24:24.256.
In the Junior B group Malik Joell edged out Ben Edwards while Alex Southern took a convincing win in the Junior C category.
