The Eleventh and Final Day of the Commonwealth Games saw Bermuda Cyclist Nicole Mitchell and Dominique Mayho both compete in the Road Race in what can only be described as a monsoon.
Mitchell unfortunately did not finish the race, getting pulled off the course after 4 laps with 3 to go, Mitchell was in 43rd place when she was forced to stop she was outdone by a mechanical problem with her chain, while on the steep hill climb, which saw the field pull away while she fixed the problem.
Mayho also did not finish but was in the top 50 when he was pulled off the course, once riders were behind the leader by more than minutes they were pulled off the course. With 140 riders going to the start line and Mahyo finishing in the top 50 was a remarkable achievement.
