The race developed with a pack chasing Darren Glasford, but Mahyo made a move as he did last year on Burnt House Hill, however the pack did not let him get far, they closed him down, with Glasford once again going to the front and making his way into Hamilton.
With riders in close quarters the possibility of a spill is always high, but Lawrence was able to stay clear and ride away to victory.
Lawrence clocked 25:41.589, with Mark Hatherley finishing second in 25:44.063 and Mathew Ackland finishing third in 26:12.574.
Zoenique Williams claimed the Women’s title crossing the line in a time of 30:15.517, Nicole Mitchell finished second with a time of 30:43.941 and April Galda-Joyce was third in a time of 31:00.925.
Justin Ferreira who finished third overall was crowned the Junior Male race winner with a time of 25:47.443, Shomari Steede finished second in 26:25.212 and Matthew Oliviera was third in 26:25.436.
Gabriella Arnold won the Female Junior race recording a time of 31:14.713, while Victoria Davis finished second in 32:10.968 and Erica Hawley finished third in 35:48.471.
