The Bermuda Bicycle Association’s Flying Colors Mountain Bike Race Series continued with racing at Lagoon Park in the West End.
The Fourth Race of the Flying Colors Fat Tire Massive Race series was run under classic Bermuda Winter conditions. Clear Skies, Light Breezes and gorgeous views.
Eighty-Eight Racers gathered on the start line to battle. Male Novice saw the largest field with 18 competitors.
A battle in the Male A Division saw a battle between Dominic Mahyo and Mark Hatherley that saw Mahyo cross the line 0.1 second ahead of Hatherley. Mahyo clocked 53:34.1 after nine laps, while Hatherley clocked 53:34.3, third place went to Robin Horsefield who finished s lap down.
Matthew Oliveira stormed to victory in the Male B Division, Oliveira led from start to finish, Darin Dowling finished second and James Holloway finished third. The Female B Division line honors went to Ashley Kirkpatrick.
Dexter Swan put in a strong performance to take the line honors in the Male Veteran Division, while Hans Hirschi finished second and third place went to Paulo Medeiros. Karen Smith won the Female Veteran Division.
