Members of the Bermuda Police Cycling team continued competed in the 2013 World Police & Fire Games (WPFG) in Ireland.
The Cyclist competed in the Men’s Road Race that took place in Carrickfergus, approximately 12 miles from Belfast, and was held over laps of an undulating 18 mile circuit.
Shannon Lawrence missed out on his second Medal of the Games when he finished 5th in the Men’s 35 – 39 Age Group Division, Lawrence was clocked across the line in a time of 1:28.46, his time was the exact same time that the Silver and Bronze Medal winners, however a photo finished showed Lawrence finishing 5th.
Darren Glasford finished 11th in the Men’s 40 – 44 Age Group Division clocking a time of 1:30.03, Clifford Roberts finished 20th with a time of 1:51.51 and Terry Thomas finished 25th clocking 2:12.56. Dennis Joell clocked a time of 1:43.51 in the 30 – 34 Age Group finishing 14th.
