For those who witness the Bermuda Bicycle Association’s Team Winners Edge Road Race they would have witnessed an exciting Adult A Division race as Tyler Butterfield was making an appearance.
The Bermuda Day Half Marathon Derby Champion put his skills to the test as he and his Tokio teammate Johna Vivier broke away from the field on the second lap and never looked back.
Vivier and Butterfield powered their way around the course with Vivier finishing first in a time of 1:45:11.436, while Butterfield finished second clocking 1:45:11.710, Mark Hatherley finished third clocking a time of 1:45:25.247.
A battle between father and son took place in the Adult B Class as Anthony Ricky Smith out dueled his son Anthony Rico Smith by 1.499 of a second, Ricky Smith clocked 1:20:39.141, while Rico Smith clocked 1:20:40.640, Matthew Claridge finished third with a time of 1:20:41.597.
In the Women’s Division, April Galda-Joyce took the line honors with a time of 1:10:33.4, while Karen Bordage finished second clocking 1:10:38.5 and Karen Smith finished third with a time of 1:10:39.3.
