Dominique Mayho has offered comments on his France experience thus far. Mahyo will spend two months with Philippe Mauduit, training and racing with the club UCC Vivonne
Mayho said, “I had good flights over, had an eleven hour layover in New York, I was met by Philippe and his daughter at the train station.”
“Philippe drove me to his house in the Saxo Bank Team Car, I unpacked my Bike and built it up and was ready to go. Philippe told me what to expect over the next two months,” continued Mayho.
Mayho went on to say, “I competed in my first race in France, which was a 97km. The course was mostly flat with one steep climb about one hundred meters long. Since it was my first race for the team UCC VIVONNE I decided to cover all the early moves, after about an hour of racing one stuck.”
Mayho concluded, “Every lap they had prize for the first one cross the line. I won five of them but it affected me late in the race, with three laps to go they started attacking each other I couldn't go anymore. I don't know the result but I won fifty euros from the primes, I have ridden 445km this week.”
