Dominique Mayho rode to victory in the 2012 Sinclair Packwood Memorial Race, Mahyo who took off right from the start looking to set a pace was clocked across the line in a time of 26:44.9.
After Mahyo’s first attack the field was able to close him in and then his Madison teammate Adam Harbutt went to the front just before the pack reached Somerset Bridge, Harbutt continued to push the pace until the pack eventually caught him, Mayho then put his nose back infront of the pack just after Barnes Corner.
Next to go was Winners Edge rider youngster Mark Godfrey, however his push did not last long as Neil Lupsic made his break as the pack went over Waterlot Hill, before Mayho and Mark Hatherley made a break going over Burnt House Hill.
Mayho and Hatherley then played cat and mouse with each other until they reached the Birdcage where Mayho put the hammer down and broke away, on the final turn just before he the home straight Mahyo almost lost control, however he was able to stay upright and race away to victory.
Hatherley finished second clocking a time of 26:46.4, while Richard O’Connell finished third clocking 27:07.7.
Joanna Shillington raced away to victory in the Women’s Race clocking a time of 33:20.4, with Nicole Mitchell finishing second clocking 33:20.4 and Wenda Godfrey finished third with a time of 34:45.
