The 2012 Bermuda Bicycle Associationís Grand Prix got underway with a Hill Climb event in St. Georgeís.
It saw the riders start at the bottom of the Duke of Kent Street, they powered over the hill and finished at the gate where the hotel Club Med once stood. 122 riders went through the start line with teenage sensation Dominique Mayho set the bar for the weekend when he clocked the fastest time of 42.669.
Mark Hatherly was second with a time of 43.639, while James Cameron had the third fastest time of 44.559. Alex Hui recorded the fourth fastest time of 45.695 and Tom Malczynski rounded out the top five finishers when he clocked 46.103.
