The game between Rick MacKenzie and Steve Bremar ended 1-1, as did the game between Mike Zimmerman and Isa Ismaili. John Watson and Colin Brown also finished 1-1.
Maurice Hawkins defeated Larry McDonald 2-0, while Tony Dawson defeated Richard Ellis 2-0 and tournament number one seed Ahmed El Sayid defeated Steve Bremar 2-0.
Pat Brake defeated Stewart Greenslade 2-0, while Maurice Doucet defeated Richard Strand 2-0 and Aaron Bean defeated Tony Dawson 2-0.
Peter Bromby defeated Richard Beale 2-0, while Mone Fong defeated John Carswell 2-0 and Pat Brake defeated Herb Lehmann 2-0.
