The Bermuda Snooker Association held their Turkey Shoot during league play, in the end, both Turkeys went to West End Sports players. Steven Bremar won the 1st Division Turkey with a 15 break, while Roger Henderson won the 2nd Division Turkey with a 18 break.
Spanish Point Boat Club One 3 West End Sports 3
Spanish Point Boat Club One and West End Sports fought it out to a 3 – 3 draw in their match. Stewart Greenslade got Spanish Point Boat Club One off to a good start with 61 – 15 and 57 – 49 wins over Jonathon Peniston. Roger Henderson put West End Sports on the board with a 55 – 41 win over Dennis Coyle. Ed Gumbs added to Spanish Point Boat Club One total with a 49 – 23 win over John Pereira. Henderson and Andre Bean then teamed up to defeat Gumbs and Coyle by a score of 57 – 46. Henderson had the high break resulting in the 3 – 3 tie.
Warwick Workmen’s Club One 5 Sandys Boat Club 1
Leon Smith got things started for the Warwick Workmen’s Club One with a 58 – 21 win over John Bromby. Gary Bascome followed up with a 61 – 13 win over Martin Siese. Keith Smith added another point when he defeated Peter Bromby 49 – 32. Brombey came back in the second frame to claim Sandys Boat Club’s lone point with a 53 – 34 victory over Keith Smith. Bascome and Leon Smith then won their doubles match against Siese and John Bromby by a score of 62 – 43. Keith Smith had high break.
West End Sports One 6 Queens Club 0
Steven Bremar started it off with a 70 – 13 win over John Nicol. Ray DeSilva followed up with 47 – 34 and 69 – 46 wins over Greg Swinbourne. Zane DeSilva then defeated Rick Dorush by a score of 57 – 22. Bremar and Zane DeSilva then defeated Dorush and Nicol by a score of 81 – 29.
Spanish Point Boat Club Three 3 Royal Artillery Association 3
Herbert Burrows gave RAA the lead with a 68 – 36 win over Tony Dawson, but Dawson came back in the second frame to win 68 – 11. Andy Peniston put RAA ahead again with a 61 – 28 win over Stuart Randell. Maurice Hawkins leveled the score with a 68 – 28 win over Joe Hayward. Hawkins and Jim Chartrand then teamed up to defeat Peniston and Hayward by a score of 44 -36. Burrows took the high score to tie the match.
Warwick Workmen’s Club Two 1 Spanish Point Boat Club One 5
Wally Tucker put Warwick Workmen’s Club Two in front with a 63 – 21, but it proved to be their only point. Chris Dakin defeated Rueben Burchall 72 – 43. Dakin and Dennis Coyle then teamed up to defeat Burchall and Daniel Caines 64 -36. Stewart Greenslade finished it off with 54 – 31 and 58 – 51 wins over Andre Burgess.
The match between Spanish Point Boat Club Two and West End Sports Club Two was postponed.
