A day after bringing the scores we now bring you the Bermuda Snooker League report. West End Sports Club One and Warwick Workmen’s Club One are certainly both gunning for the top spot in the first division of the Bermuda Snooker League. They both got off to a good start in the first week and battled each other to a 3 – 3 draw this week. Right now West End Sports Club One now hold a slim one point lead but things could change quickly. Queen’s Club is making their bid as well after claiming a 5 – 1 win over Warwick Workmen’s Club Two.

Ray DeSilva
put West End Sports Club One ahead with a 50 – 41 win over Courtland Furbert. Gary Bascombe answered for Warwick Workmen’s Club One with a 54 – 15 win over Tony DeSilva. Tony came back in the second frame to take it 52 – 29. Keith Smith put the visiting Warwick Workmen’s Club One ahead again with a 75 – 17 win over Steven Bremar. Smith and Furbert teamed up for Warwick Workmen’s Club One and defeated Bremar and Ray DeSilva by a score of 55 – 47. Bremar had the high break with a 28 so the end result was a 3 – 3 tie.

Warwick Workmen’s Club Two 1 Queen’s Club 5

Queen’s Club’s
visit to Warwick Workmen’s Club Two was a success as they walked off with a 5 – 1 win over the home team. Wally Tucker picked up the lone point for Warwick Workmen’s Club Two with a 55 – 28 win over Jimmy McGill. McGill, however, came back in the second frame and evened up the score with a 52 – 45 win. Greg Swinbourne then defeated Andre Burgess 60 – 37 putting Queen’s Club in front. Queen’s Club never looked back as Rick Dorush defeated Reuben Burchall 75 – 15. Swinbourne and K. Wilson then defeated Burchall and Andrew Pratt 67 – 40. Wilson took the high break with a 30 making it 5 – 1 for Warwick Workmen’s Club Two.

Michael Camara
got things going for the home team with a 43 – 34 win over Mike McGowan. Joe Hayward evened up the match with a 43 – 29 win over Kenny Wheatley. Camara and Wheatley then teamed up to put Spanish Point Boat Club Two ahead again by defeating Hayward and Terrance Seymour 49 – 18 in the doubles. Andy Peniston got it level again with a 55 – 29 win over Stephen Holloway. Holloway however came back to win the second frame 53 – 33. Peniston and Camara both had high breaks of 13 resulting in a 4 - 3 win for Spanish Point Boat Club Two.

Chris Dakin
got the home team started with a 58 – 22 win over Roger Henderson. Stewart Greenslade followed up with a 65 – 14 win over Aaron Bean. Bean came back in the second frame to win 75 – 50 and pick up the first point for Watford Sports Club Two. John Perreira tied it up with a 42 – 30 win over Ed Gumbs. Gumbs and Dakin teamed up for a 52 – 17 win over Perreira and Jonathan Peniston. Bean had the high break with a 17, so the final result was a 3 – 3 draw.
