Back on January 4th www.islandstats.com reported that Bermuda will be represented at the inaugural UANA (Union Americana de Natacion) Swimming Cup.
Today we can report the nine swimmers who will represent Bermuda that include Ashley Irby, Gabriela Pitman, Skyler Powell, Logan Watson-Brown, Taylor White, Brian Desmond, Jack Harvey, Caleb Ingham and Sam Williamson.
The Championship which takes place from January 19th – 21st in Coral Springs, Florida will include countries from North, Central and South America and the Caribbean.
The competition is expected to be very high and very good, as many of these countries won't be going to the Commonwealth Games.
Bermuda swimmers rarely get to compete against most of these South and Central American countries and it will offer the opportunity for the swimmers and coaches to interact with their peers from other nations.
The competitors will be divided into three Age Group Categories - 11-12, 13-14, and 15-17.
