Update-Pictures & Video Hours after breaking the New National Record at the Pan American Games in Chile which had stood for 15 years Emma Harvey returned to the Centro Acuático Pool and broke her own record.
Competing the Women's 100m Backstroke A final, Harvey finished 8th touching the wall in a time of 1:02.35.
Earlier, Harvey swimming in Heat 4 of the Women's 100m Backstroke, Harvey touched the wall in a time of 1:02.42, breaking Kiera Aitken’s record set 15 years ago during the Beijing Olympic Games, August 10th, 2008, when she was clocked at 1:02.62.
Harvey will swim in the A Final later today.
Also hitting the pool in Chile was Madelyn Moore who finished 7th in Heat 3 of the Women's 100m Freestyle, her time of 58.37 saw her finish 24th overall.
Sam Williamson finished 2nd in Heat 1 of the Men's 200m Breaststroke, clocking 2:28.54 which put him 23rd overall.
Jack Harvey competed in Heat 2 of the Men's 100m Backstroke, he finished 6th clocking a time of 57.04, his time saw him finish 18th overall.
