Four more unofficial records were broken during the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association’s (BASA) National Championships at the National Sports Center.
Jack and Emma Harvey have rewritten the record books to be confirmed by BASA.
During the 13 & Over Men’s 50 Meter Backstroke Jack Harvey touched the wall in a time of 26.35, breaking the record time he set back on April 29th, 2021 in the USA.
Jack Harvey would then break the 13 & Over Men’s 100 Meter Backstroke Record touching the wall in 56.76, this time was faster than the time Harvey set back on April 30th, 2021 in the USA.
Jack Harvey broke a 13-Year-Old Record in the 13 & Over Men’s 200 Meter Backstroke clocking a time of 2:04.89, which breaks Jason Mastalir’s time of 2:11.46 set back on April 16th, 2009 during the Carifta Swimming Championships in Aruba.
Emma Harvey broke Madelyn Moore’s 13 & Over Women’s 100 Meter Butterfly when she was clocked at 1:02.18, that time breaks Moore’s record time of 1:02.21 set back on June 27th, 2021 during the CCCAN Championships in Puerto Rico.
