Seven More Medals Carifta Swimming Championships - Day 4

Bermuda Swimmers continued competing on Day Three of the XXXV Carifta Swimming Championships in Barbados. Another 7 Medals were won on the night taking the Bermuda total to 19 for the Championships.

Carifta Swimming Championships - Day 4 Finals Round-Up

It was a Gold Medal for Violet Smith, and a Bronze Medal for Arabella Newport Derbyshire in the 11-12 Girls 200m Backstroke Final. Smith was clocked at 2:37.88, while Newport Derbyshire clocked at 2:42.01.

Marleigh Howes claimed the Silver Medal competing in the 13-14 Girls 400m Freestyle Final touching the wall in a time of 4:47.35, while Sam Williamson won the Silver Medal competing in the 15-17 Boys 400m Freestyle Final with a time of 4:16.77. Taylor White won the Silver Medal in the 15-17 Girls 200 Meter Backstroke Final clocking a time of 2:29.70.

White picked up the Bronze Medal competing in the 15-17 Girls 400m Freestyle Final clocking a time of 4:42.05, Williamson also captured the Bronze Medal competing in the 15-17 Boys 100m Breaststroke Final with a time of 1:08.05.

Elijah Daley finished 8th in the 15-17 Boys 100m Breaststroke Final touching the wall in a time of 1:12.41. Brandon Adkins finished 5th competing in the 15-17 Boys 400m Freestyle clocking a time of 4:21.53.

Carifta Swimming Championships - Day 4 Preliminaries Round-Up

The Preliminaries on Day Four of the XXXV Carifta Swimming Championships in Barbados are over, with Bermuda Swimmers advancing to more Finals.

At this time we bring you the Preliminary Results from the morning session for the Bermuda swimmers.

During the 11-12 Girls 50 Meter Freestyle Arabella Newport Derbyshire finished 16th clocking a time of 31.73, while Violet Smith finished 17th clocking 32.04.

Marleigh Howes and Imojen Judd will take their spots in the 13-14 Girls 50 Meter Freestyle Finals, Howes finished second clocking 28.01, while Judd finished 7th with a time of 28.57.

Bella Howes advanced to the 15-17 Girls 50 Meter Freestyle Final after finishing 7th clocking a time of 27.90, while Myeisha Sharrieff finished 16th with a time of 28.92.

Finn Moseley advanced to the 15-17 Boys 50 Meter Freestyle Final after finishing 8th with a time of 24.74, while Flynn Watson-Brown finished 11th with a time of 25.12, and Elijah Daley was clocked in a time of 25.87 which put him in 21st place.

Sam Williamson advanced to the 15-17 Boys 100 Meter Breaststroke Final after clocking the second-fastest time of 1:08.52, while Daley finished 9th clocking 1:12.91.

Newport Derbyshire clocked the second-fastest time of 2:41.29 during the 11-12 Girls 200 Meter Backstroke, while Smith finished third clocking 2:42.00.

Judd finished third in the 13-14 Girls 200 Meter Backstroke clocking a time of 2:33.86 to claim a spot in the final, while Taylor White advanced to the 15-17 Girls 200 Meter Backstroke Final after clocking the second-fastest time of 2:30.34.

Brandon Adkins advanced to the 15-17 Boys 200 Meter Backstroke Final after finishing 5th with a time of 2:18.45, while Daley will also compete in the Final after finishing 8th clocking 2:21.51.

The 15-17 Boys 4x50 Meter Freestyle Relay team of Adkins, Watson-Brown, Williamson, and Finn Moseley advanced to the Final with the 6th fastest time of 1:40.46.
