Madelyn Moore and her Northern Colorado Swimming and Diving teammates got out to a great start during of the WAC Championships, at the end of the day they currently sit in second with 209.5 points.
Things started off well with the 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Moore, Maria Heymans, Morgan King and Emily Hamel setting a school record clocking a winning time of 1:40.66.
The time beat the previous record by over two seconds, set back in 2013. The group had already qualified for the College Swimming National Invitational Championship (NICA) earlier this year but helped their seeding going into it with the first place finish.
The Women 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Moore, Nicole Depooter, King and Hamel clocked a winning time of 1:31.32 to claim their second Gold Medal of the event. This time was also a School Record.
Moore would then clocked the fastest Women’s 50 Yard Freestyle Preliminary time of 22.50.
Moore would then share the Gold Medal in the Final collecting her third of the Championships in a dead tie for first with Northern Arizona's Elis Rodriguez both were clocked at 22.71. Moore broke her own School Record that she set previously this year with the time and earned a NIC A-Qualifying Time.
