Daley Wins Nine Gold Medals in NYAC Cup

Swimming in the same amount of events as his sister did Elijah Daley concluded competing in the North York Aquatic Club Cup in Canada decorated with Gold.

Daley the current Record Holder of every single Bermuda Boy’s 9-10 Discipline Record has now set his sights on the 11-12 Records.

Daley competed in Nine Boy’s 11 Year Old Age Group Events standing on the Podium all 9 times, he set 3 new Bermuda Records and had 9 Personal Best, two f the record broken were taken from his brother Ethan.

The first Record breaking performance came during his 1500m Freestyle Gold Medal performance when he touched the wall in a time of 18:43.12, breaking the Record of 18:53.69 set by Tyler Smith set back on May 27th 2011 at a BASA Meet.

Daley would next break the 100m Butterfly Record winning the Gold Medal clocking a time of 1:08.30, breaking brother Ethan Daley’s record time of 1:08.42, set on May 18th 2014 during the Markham Swim Meet in Ontario, Canada.

Daley clocked a time of 2:33.35 took more than 5 seconds off his brother Ethan’s record time of 2:38.44 on his way to winning the Gold Medal in the 200m Butterfly, Ethan had set the record on may 17th at the Markham Swim Meet in Ontario, Canada.

Daley won the Gold Medal in the 50m Freestyle touching the wall in a time of 29.02, he would also win the 100m Freestyle Gold in 1:03.48.

Daley captured the 100m Breaststroke Gold Medal after clocking 1:23.37, to go along with the 200m Breaststroke Gold after touching the wall in a time of 2:59.99.

Daley’s final two Gold Medals would come in the individual Medley, first in the 200m, when he was clocked in a time of 2:34.15 and then in the 400m Daley was clocked at 5:32.44.
