Bermuda Swimmers Heading to Long Course Finals

Four swimmers from Bermuda Brian Desmond, Keagan Woolley, Gabriella Pitman and Skyler Powell are taking part in the 2017 Ontario Launch into Long Course at the Pan American Games Pool in Ontario, Canada.

On Day One of the three day event, only three of the four took to the Pool

Pitman advanced to the 13-14 Girls 50 LC Meter Backstroke Final, after recording the 8th fastest Preliminary time of 36.79.

With a Personal Best time of 33.04, Desmond advanced to the 13-14 Boys 50 LC Meter Backstroke Final with the second fastest time.

With a Personal Best performance Powell clocked the fastest 13-14 Girls 50 LC Meter Butterfly time during the Preliminaries, to advance to the Final, while Pitman will also take a spot in the Final after recording a Personal Best and the 8th fastest time of 33.78

Desmond recorded a Personal Best time of 31.01 on his way to advancing to the 13-14 Boys 50 LC Meter Butterfly Final after finishing 8th in the Preliminaries.
