The Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association has updated their Long Course Meter Records after the following meets, OYO LC Invitational, Validus Bermuda National Championships, East Side Mario's Invitational, Canadian Age Group Championships, Aces/Stars Summer Finale, XXI Caribbean Islands Swimming Championships and the British Summer Championships.
Gabriella Esposito now holds the 8 & Under Girls 50m Freestyle record of 39.57 set on April 10th, 2016 at the OYO LC Invitational in Canada.
During the East Side Mario's Invitational in Canada Elijah Daley set three new Boy’s 9 & 10 Year Old Records, he set a new 50m Backstroke record of 36.97 on May 15th, 2016, on that same day Daley set a new 100m Backstroke record of 1:19.84, the day before he touched the wall in a record time of 6:09.97 to set a new 400m Individual Medley record. Daley also set a new 50m Butterfly record of 32.99 on May 21st during the Validus Bermuda National Championships and the next day Daley recorded a time of 2:49.95 during the 200m Individual Medley at the Validus Bermuda National Championships.
In the Canadian Age Group Championships in Canada Girls 11 & 12 Year Old 50m Freestyle Elan Daley set a new record time of 27.98 on July 29th, 2016, during the 100m Butterfly, Daley clocked a record time of 1:06.91 on July 27th, Daley clocked 35.81 in the 50m Breaststroke also on July 27th, on July 31st, Daley set a new record in the 200m Individual Medley touching the wall in a time of 2:30.95 on July 31st and on July 28th Daley set a new 400m Individual Medley record time of 5:29.46.
During the Aces/Stars Summer Finale in the USA, Payton Zelkin set a new Girls 11 & 12 Year Old 1,500m Freestyle record time of 20:21.69 on July 30th, Zelkin also set a new 200m Breaststroke record time of 3:10.96 on the same date.
Sam Williamson set a new Boys 11 & 12 Year Old 50m Breaststroke record time of 34.07 on July 1st during the XXI Caribbean Islands Swimming Championships in the Bahamas, Williamson also set a new 100m Breaststroke record time of 1:15.55 on July 2nd and on June 29th Williamson set a new 200m Breaststroke record time of 2:48.96.
Emma Harvey set a new Girls 13 & 14 Year Old 50m Backstroke record time of 30.12 on June 29th at the XXI Caribbean Islands Swimming Championships in Bahamas, the next day Harvey set a new 100m Backstroke record time of 1:05.92.
In the ASC Open Championships at the National Sports Center on June 24th Louise Boylan set a new Girls 13 & 14 Year Old 50m Breaststroke record time of 37:26.
During the XXI Caribbean Islands Swimming Championships in the Bahamas Brett Smith set a new Boy’s 13 & 14 Year Old 200m Backstroke record time of 2:22.55.
Emma Harvey while competing at the British Summer Championships set new Girl’s 15 to 16 Year Old records, she is now the 50m Butterfly record holder with a time of 27.97 on July 27th, on July 31st Harvey set a new 100, Butterfly record time of 1:04.46, a record time of 29.77 was set on July 30th during the 50m Backstroke touching the wall in 29.77, Harvey also set a new 100m Backstroke record time of 1:05.78 on July 27th.
Ethan Daley set a new Boy’s 15 to 16 Year Old record in the 200, Individual Medley clocking a time of 2:18.60 on July 1st at the XXI Caribbean Islands Swimming Championships in Bahamas.
