Nerves will be a plenty in the Bahamas this evening as the Final attempt for Bermuda’s Swimmers to reach the Olympic Games A Standard will take place at the Caribbean Island Swimming Championships (CISC).
Earlier in the Preliminaries Roy Allan Burch for the second time in the Meet has met the Olympic Games B Standard Time, this time it came during the Boy’s 18 & Over 50 LC Meter Freestyle touching the wall in a time of 22.98, Burch has to meet the A Standard time of 22.60.
As it turned out it was not to be as Roy Allan Burch came up .19 of a second off the Rio Olympic A Standard Time for the Boys 18 & Over 50 LC Meter Freestyle, Burch captured the Bronze Medal with a time of 22.79.
Maddy Moore won the 15 – 17 Girls 50 LC Meter Freestyle Gold Medal after clocking a time of 26.72.
During the 11 – 12 Girls 50 LC Meter Frstyle Final Logan Watson Brown won the Silver Medal stopping the clock in a time of 28.35, Sam Williamson also won a Silver Medal competing in the 11 - 12 Boys 100 LC Meter Breaststroke recording a time of 1:15.55.
Julian Fletcher captured a Silver Medal with a time of 1:03.35 during the in the Boys 18 and Over 100 LC Meter Breaststroke.
Brian Desmond won a Bronze Medal in the 11 – 12 Boys 400 LC Meter Freestyle clocking a time of 4.38:96, Tyler Mazurek also captured a Bronze Medal while competing in the Boy’s 18 & Over 400 LC Meter Freestyle with a time of 4.08:02.
Rebecca Heyliger picked up the Bronze Medal in the Girls 18 & Over 50 LC Meter Freestyle with a time of 26.56, while Lisa Blackburn won the Girls 18 & Over 100 LC Meter Breaststroke Bronze Medal with a time of 1.13:60.
