Ky Hurst put his 2008 Summer Olympics in the 10km Marathon Swimming event experience in play as he stormed to victory in the 2016 Trunk Island Swimming race in the Harrington Sound.
The previous Course record of 16:53 set by Jesse Washington back in 2013, was crushed when Hurst crossed the finish line in a time of 15:28.
Another new name that the Bermuda Swimming community will continue to hear is that of Eileen Mullowney who finished second with a time of 18:59, Nick Rowse finished third in a time of 19:03.
Thirteen year-old Keagan Woolley finished fourth with a time of 19:26 and Graeme Spence rounded out the top five finishers with a time of 19:27.
