The Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association has updated their Short Course Meter Records after the following meets: Quebec Provincial Championships, Schroders Spring Age Group Championships and the Best of BEST.
Quebec Provincial Championships – February 26th – 28th, 2016 – Gatineau, Quebec, Canada
Vanessa Esposito is now the 17 and 18 Girls 800m Freestyle Record Holder touching the wall in a time of 9:27.49, breaking Stephanie Myle’s record of 9:39.23 set on June 19th, 2009.
Schroders Spring Age Group Championships – March 10th – 13th, 2016 – B.A.S.A. pool
During the 8 and Under Girls 50m Backstroke Imogen Judd broke Elan Daley’s record of 43.87 set on March 16th, when she stopped the clock in 43.49.
Elijah Daley is now the 9 and 10 Boys 50m Backstroke Record Holder with a time of 36.31, breaking Keagan Woolley’s record of 0:36.34 set on November 29th, 2013.
Elan Daley holds the 11 and 12 Girls 50m Breaststroke Record of 35.77, breaking Jennifer Smatt’s record of 0:36.22 set on June 1st, 1987.
The team of Elan Daley, Mia Ferguson, Jessica Bruton and Logan Watson-Brown competing in the 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay are now the Record Holders clocking 2:01.65, breaking the record of 2:04.39 set on June 8th, 2013 by the team of Emma Harvey, Lynsey Palmer, Alyssa Paynter and Ashley Irby, while the team of Bruton, Daley, Watson-Brown and Ferguson during the 4 x 50m Medley Relay set a new Record time of 2:20.28, breaking the record of 2:23.94 set on April 27th, 2013 by the team of Lynsey Palmer, Emma Harvey, Ashley Irby and Alyssa Paynter.
Jack Harvey’s 11 and 12 Boys 200m Backstroke time of 2:32.50, broke Brett Smith’s record of 2:34.25 set on December 7th, 2014.
Ethan Daley broke three 13 and 14 Boys Records, during the 1,500m Freestyle he clocked a time of 17:13.21, breaking Jason Mastalir’s record of December 2nd, 2005. Daley clocked a 100m Individual Medley time of 1:03.46, breaking his own record of 1:06.85 set on June 11th, 2015.
Daley then clocked a 200m Individual Medley time of 2:17.07, breaking his own record of 2;17.53 on December 13th, 2015.
Shannon Hassell broke Rebecca Sharpe’s 15 and 16 Girls 200m Backstroke Record of 2:26.99, when she touched the wall in 2:23.72.
Madelyn Moore broke five 15 and 16 Girls Records during the Meet, she set a new 50m Freestyle Record of 26.07, breaking Rebecca Heyliger’s record of 27.44 set on June 29th, 2009. She then set a new 100m Freestyle Record clocking 57.43, breaking Vanessa Esposito’s record of 59.77 set on April 24th, 2015. Moore is now the 50m Backstroke Record holder with a time of 29.72, breaking Ashley Yearwood’s record of 30.75 set on June 11th, 2011. Moore holds the 100m Backstroke Record of 1:05.20, breaking Rebecca Sharpe’s record of 1:07.97 set on June 22nd, 2008 and she set a new 50m Butterfly Record of 29.04, breaking Vanessa Esposito’s record of 29.77 set on November 23rd, 2013.
Jesse Washington established five new 15 and 16 Boys Records, he set a new 50m Freestyle Record of 24.08, breaking his own record of 24.12 set on March 22nd, 2015.
Washington set a new 100m Freestyle record of 51.92, breaking his own record of 0:52.41 set on December 4th, 2015. He then broke his own 200m Freestyle record of 1:55.88 set on March 22nd, 2015 with a time of 1:54.67. Washington clocked a 50m Butterfly Record time of 25.88, breaking his own record of 0:26.75 set on March 21st, 2015 and then he set a new 100m Butterfly Record of 58.39, breaking his own record of 0:58.57 set on December 5th, 2015.

Sam Williamson set a new 11 and 12 Boys 50m Breaststroke Record of 34.56, breaking Keagan Woolley’s record of 0:35.35 set on December 5th, 2015
Moore then set a new 15 and 16 Girls 50m Backstroke Record of 29.61, breaking her own record of 0:29.72 set on March 12th, 2016.
