The Final Day of the Mailbox Unlimited Winter Age Group Championships at the BASA Pool, produced two more Records and two swimmers meet the Carifta 2016 Qualifying Standard.
Keagan Woolley set a new 11-12 Boys 100m Breaststroke Record, breaking the old Record time of 1:19.80 touching the wall in a time of 1:17.01.
Emma Harvey’s time of 2:25.28 saw her break the 13-14 Girls 200m Butterfly old Record time of 2:31.97. (Video shows Harvey’s Record Breaking performance.)
The 2 swimmers making their qualification for Carifta 2016 were Jessica Bruton swimming AA in the 11-12 Girls 100 Backstroke clocking 2:44.38 and Alyson Scherer in the 100 Freestyle. On the last event of a rainy weekend the two girls swam in the 11-12 Girls 50m Freestyle Time Trial where they both swam AA time to make them eligible for selection for next year’s team, Scherer clocked 30.65, while Bruton clocked 30.87.
