Four Bermuda swimmers took to the Pool on Day Two of the Arena Pro Swim Series Meet in Minneapolis.

Julian Fletcher finished 32nd in the Men’s 200 LC Meter Breaststroke Preliminaries touching the wall in a time of 2:24.66.

During the Women’s 50 LC Meter Freestyle Preliminaries, Lisa Blackburn finished 50th with a time of 26.77, while Rebecca Heyliger finished 64th touching the wall in a time of 27.05.

Meanwhile in competition for the first time since his injury Bermuda Olympian Roy-Allan Burch finished 83rd competing in the Men’s 50 LC Meter Freestyle Preliminaries clocking a time of 24.67.

Burch speaking exclusively to www.islandstats.com said, “Before the race I was just trying to find a groove. I had to make sure I didn't do to many sprints because it makes my knees pretty sore. I was just working on staying relaxed and using all the tools I had put together so far to get to this point.”

Burch went on to say, “During the race I wasn't thinking about anything. Just to do what I do naturally and let it happen. I knew there would be no miracles and it was mainly about getting to the wall.”

Burch concluded, “After the race I was pleased with how it went because of how little leg drive I have. It basically gave me a baseline speed to work with and now I know what's possible.”
