Lisa Blackburn and Julian Fletcher were back in action at the University of Toronto Scarborough Aquatics Center as the 2015 Pan American Games continued in Toronto.
Both qualified for the B Finals of the Women’s and Men’s 100m Breaststroke.
Both Blackburn and Fletcher left the pool following the B Finals with smiles on their faces, satisfied with their performances.
Blackburn had her best performance at the Games thus far when she clocked a time of 1:14.45 in the Final, taking almost 2 seconds off Preliminary Time on her way to finishing 5th.
Fletcher missed out on the Men’s 100m Breaststroke National Record by 2 one hundredth of a second, touching the wall in the Final with a time of 1:03.60.
Earlier in the day, Blackburn swimming in the Women’s 100m Breaststroke Heat 3 clocked a time of 1:16.14 finishing 6th and 16th overall.
Fletcher finished 5th in the Men’s 100m Breaststroke Heat 1 touching the wall in a time of 1:03.87, his time saw him finish 14th overall.
