Six Bermuda young Swimmers concluded competing in St. Petersburg, Florida during the Seminole & Sunrise Lanes Summer Invitational.
Brian Desmond, Sam Williamson, Tayla Horan and Daria Desmond represented the Sharks Swim Club and Finn Moseley & Katya Williamson represented Harbour Swim Club.
Several of the swimmers reached Finals and today we bring you the results, with Moseley ending as the 9-10 Boys High Points Winner.
Desmond won the Girls 8 & Under 50 LC Meter Breaststroke Silver Medal clocking a time of 50.15, she also won the Girls 8 & Under 50 LC Meter Backstroke Silver Medal clocking 54.85 she closed out her participation in the Finals with a 5th place finish in the Girls 8 & Under 50 LC Meter Freestyle recording a time of 44.93.
Horan competed in the Girls 9-10 50 LC Meter Breaststroke clocking a time of 49.10, she also reached the Girls 10 & Under 50 LC Meter Freestyle Final were she picked up a Silver Medal clocking 35.31, she finished 6th in the Girls 10 & Under 100 LC Meter Freestyle clocking 1:18.98. Horan finished 5th in the Girls 10 & Under 200 LC Meter Freestyle clocking a time of 2:52.91, she clocked a time of 45.88 on her way to finishing 6th in the Girls 10 & Under 50 LC Meter Backstroke and then she finished 5th in the Girls 10 & Under 100 LC Meter Breaststroke with a time of 1:47.79.
During the Boys 9-10 50 LC Meter Butterfly Moseley finished 6th with a time of 42.85, he then won the Boys 9-10 200 LC Meter IM Gold Medal with a time of 3:10.49. Moseley clocked 34.79 on his way to winning the Boys 10 & Under 50 LC Meter Freestyle Bronze Medal, he then won the Silver Medal in the Boys 10 & Under 100 LC Meter Freestyle clocking 1:13.91, he won another Gold Medal competing in the Boys 10 & Under 50 LC Meter Backstroke recording a time of 38.96, he closed out winning a Bronze Medal during the Boys 10 & Under 100 LC Meter Breaststroke clocking a time of 1:46.10.
During the 11-12 Boys 50 LC Meter Freestyle Final Desmond finished 5th clocking a time of 31.42, Desmond finished 4th in the 11-12 Boys 100 LC Meter Freestyle clocking 1:07.36, with Sam Williamson finishing 7th clocking 1:10.62. Desmond finished 4th in the 11-12 Boys 200 LC Meter Freestyle with a time of 2:28.40 and then in the 11-12 Boys 50 LC Meter Backstroke Desmond finished 7th clocking a time of 38.96.
Desmond finished 7th in the 11-12 Boys 100 LC Meter Backstroke and Breaststroke clocking times of 1:25.14 and 41.46. Williamson won a Bronze Medal with a time of 1:30.15 during the 11-12 Boys 100 LC Meter Breaststroke. In the 11-12 Boys 200 LC Meter IM Williamson finished 7th clocking a time of 2:56.67, while Desmond finished 8th clocking 2:56.86.
