Moore Wins 3rd CCCAN Championships Gold

Bermuda Swimmers have reached the Finals yet again, as the XXIX Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championships continued in Barbados at the Aquatic Center, Wildey.

FINALS

Madelyn Moore captured her third Gold Medal and the countries 4th Medal of the Championships during the 13-14 Women’s 100 LC Meter Freestyle, Moore touched the wall in a Personal Best time of 58.90, while Ashley Irby finished 8th clocking a time of 1:02.88.

Moore finished 4th in the 13-14 Women’s 50 LC Meter Butterfly, she again clocked a Personal Best time of 29.94.

Jesse Washington clocked a Personal Best time of 53.29 on his way to finishing 5th in the 15-17 Men’s 100 LC Meter Freestyle, Washington also swam a Personal Best time in the 15-17 Men’s 50 LC Meter Butterfly clocking a time of 26.49 finishing 6th.

Preliminaries

During the 11-12 Women’s 100 LC Meter Freestyle, Skyler Powell clocked a time of 1:08.97 finishing 14th, she finished 11th with a time of 2:47.75 while competing in the 11-12 Women’s 200 LC Meter IM.

Ashley Irby qualified for the 13-14 Women’s 100 LC Meter Freestyle Final after recording a time of 1:02.42 finishing 8th, while Madelyn Moore finished third claiming a spot in the Final clocking a time of 30.34 during the 13-14 Women’s 50 LC Meter Butterfly, Irby finished 12th with a time of 32.20.

Keagan Woolley clocked the 15th fastest time in the 11-12 Men’s 100 LC Meter Freestyle with a time of 1:06.07 and Jack Harvey finished 18th clocking 1:08.79. Harvey also finished 15th while competing in the 11-12 Men’s 50 LC Meter Butterfly touching the wall in a time of 35.01 and Woolley finished 12th in the 11-12 Men’s 200 LC Meter IM recording a time of 2:57.63.

Evan Farrow clocked a Personal Best time of 1:00.12 during the 13-14 Men’s 100 LC Meter Freestyle finishing 16th.

Jesse Washington will compete in the 15-17 Men’s 100 LC Meter Freestyle Final after finishing 5th clocking a Personal Best time of 53.63, while Philip Hagen finished 14th with a time of 55.95. Washington will also compete in the 15-17 Men’s 50 LC Meter Butterfly Final after clocking a time of 27.00 finishing 6th.
