The XXIX Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championships continued in Barbados at the Aquatic Center, Wildey with the Bermuda Swimmers hitting the Pool yet again.
Finals
Jesse Washington swam a Personal Best and a new Record in the 15-17 Men’s 50 LC Meter Freestyle with a time of 24.72 which saw him finish in 5th place.
In the 13-14 Women’s 50 LC Meter Backstroke, Moore was seeded second with the winner of the 100 LC Meter Backstroke as the number 1 seed. Moore had a spectacular start and break out which put her in the lead from the first stroke. She had some issues with swimming straight which slowed her down a bit but the Gold Medal was hers touching the wall in a time of 31.08.
Day Three of the event began with Preliminaries, which during the 11-12 Women’s 200 LC Meter Freestyle Skyler Powell finished 11th touching the wall in a time of 2:28.01, she also finished 11th competing in the 11-12 Women’s 200 LC Meter Backstroke clocking a time of 38.48.
Madelyn Moore advanced to the 11-12 Women’s 50 LC Meter Backstroke Final when she finished with the 2nd fastest time of 31.64, while Ashley Irby finished 10th with a time of 35.93.
Keagan Woolley and Jack Harvey finished 15th and 16th during the 11-12 Men’s 200 LC Meter Freestyle, Woolley clocked 2:24.95, while Harvey clocked 2:30.02.
Harvey finished 11th in the 11-12 Men’s 200 LC Meter Backstroke with a time of 35.09, while Woolley finished 14th clocking 37.04.
During the 13-14 Men’s 50 LC Meter Backstroke, Evan Farrow finished 12th with a time of 33.46.
Jesse Washington will swim in the 15-17 Men’s 50 LC Meter Freestyle Final after finishing 6th with a time of 25.03, while Philip Hagen finished 15th with a time of 26.01.
