The XXIX Central American and Caribbean Swimming Championships continued in Barbados at the Aquatic Center, Wildey with the Bermuda Swimmers hitting the Pool yet again.
Finals
Skyler Powell finished 8th in the 11-12 Women’s 400 LC Meter Freestyle Final with a time of 5:00.15. Powell also finished 8th in the 11-12 Women’s 400 LC Meter Breaststroke Final clocking 1:31.98.
Clocking a time of 2:14.62 saw Madelyn Moore finished 6th in the 13-14 Women’s 200 LC Meter Freestyle Final.
Jesse Washington touched the wall in a time of 1:57.78 on his way to finishing 5th in the 15-17 Men’s 200 LC Meter Freestyle Final, while Philip Hagen finished 8th with a time of 2:00.72.
Earlier in the day the Preliminaries were held with Jesse Washington and Phillip Hagen reaching the Finals of the 15-17 Men’s 200 LC Meter Freestyle, after finishing 4th and 7th. Washington finished 4th clocking a time of 2:00.52 and Hagen clocked a time of 2:01.53 finishing 7th.
Moore also will swim in the evening, when she clocked 2:16.61 on her way to finishing 7th during the 13-14 Women 200 LC Meter Freestyle. Ashley Irby is the first Alternate after recording the ninth fastest time of 2:17.92.
Skyler Powell reached the 11-12 Women’s 400 LC Meter Freestyle Final with the 8th fastest time of 5:01.14
During the 13-14 Men’s 200 LC Meter Freestyle Evan Farrow finished 12th with a Personal Best time of 2:11.50. Jack Harvey finished 10th in the 11-12 Men’s 400 LC Meter Freestyle clocking a time of 5:15.49, while Keagan Woolley finished 11th with a time of 5:22.46.
Washington clocked a time of 1:01.47 on his way to a 12th place finish during the 15-17 Men’s 100 LC Meter Butterfly, Powell will enter the pool for the Final of the 11-12 Women’s 100 LC Meter Breaststroke after finishing 8th with a time of 1:32.34. During the 11-12 Men’s 100 LC Meter Breaststroke Woolley finished 9th with a time of 1:25.53.
